• Are there any dance classes at the bar?
Not at Casa Publica, its not the environment for it, but we highly recommend our free beginner classes during the week at Salsa Latina.
You’re also welcome to come watch any class to get inspired!

• Can the night finish earlier than 1 AM?
Yes — depending on attendance and bar activity, the night may end as early as midnight. This is at the bar’s discretion, so we encourage you to support the bar by buying drinks.

• Can I arrive before the dance starts?
Absolutely! Come for drinks or dinner before dancing — it’s a great way to support the bar and enjoy the full evening with friends.

• I’m a beginner. Should I come?
Definitely! Social dancing at the party combined with regular Salsa & Bachata classes accelerates your learning up to 10x faster — it’s like practice on steroids! 💃🕺

• Can I bring friends?
Yes! Everyone is welcome — dancers and non-dancers alike.

• Is it a Latin Night or a Salsa Night? 
This is a Partner dance based Salsa Latin Night not a Reggaeton Latin Night .... Find out the difference >

We host this event to grow the Salsa & Bachata community in Christchurch and New Zealand. Please support the bar by buying drinks (or a mocktail if you don’t drink), and bring friends to help keep the event going. Supporting local dance schools and venues ensures our community keeps thriving!​​​​​
