Hola Salsa Latina family, we have significant changes in our teachers over the next few weeks, but please bear with us as we finalise the details, the first of the information will be shared here. Although two of our teachers are departing for Europe, we are introducing new instructors and are excited to announce that one of our special teacher "Marcela" will be returning to teach with Reuben starting this week. In the mean time, make the most of what's available now. Also The New beginners Salsa 101 course set to start next week has been delayed to the following week ....Check out the news below.

❌ Salsa Thursdays Canceled - New Start Date 31st July
The new beginners and imp-int Salsa course, originally scheduled to start on July 24th, has been postponed to start on July 31st due to an event at the venue. In short, there will be no classes on Thursday, July 24th...... see our timetable for updates >
✅ Shines Monday are Back!
Salsa This Monday at 8:30 pm with Miléna, All Monday shine classes will conclude in August, so take advantage of these final few classes ..... Please refer to the timetable for details.
💃 Marcela Returns to Teach on Thursdays
Exciting News! Marcela, who has been a long-time instructor at Salsa Latina, is returning to teach Salsa on Thursday nights, starting this Thursday alongside Reuben. Many new dancers may not be familiar with her, but Reuben and Marcela previously competed together, winning numerous national titles. This Thursday will be their final session teaching together before Reuben departs from New Zealand. However, Marcela will continue to teach on Thursdays, reviving some of the original Salsa Latina atmosphere.
✈️ Reuben & Milena are Relocating
As mentioned last week, incase you missed it! We have some exciting (and a little bittersweet) news to share...Our head teachers, Reuben and Milena, will be relocating to Europe at the end of July for a new adventure! ✈️ They'll be away for a period of time — at least 6 to 8 months, with the exact timing still to be confirmed.
But don’t worry — Salsa Latina isn’t going anywhere! 💃🕺
We’ve been actively training up new teachers and developing & expanding our existing teaching team to ensure Salsa Latina continues to thrive. With continued help from Europe our talented instructors will be stepping in to lead classes, and performance teams — keeping our amazing community strong and vibrant.
There may be some small schedule changes, but rest assured we’ll keep you updated over the next few weeks as we finalise the details.
In the meantime, make the most of your time with Reuben and Milena before they head off — their last classes will be on the 23rd July!
💃 Salsa Night Fever - Updates!
The next Salsa Night Fever will be a grand farewell event for Reuben & Miléna on Friday, July 25th, with a new start time of 8pm, so make sure not to miss it! ..... details >
Owing to the winter conditions, Salsa Night Fever will continue on a monthly basis until the warmer spring weather arrives then go back to fortnightly, this event will continued to be supported by Reuben working with Dj Javier to get you the latest tunes from Europe! So expect a good turn out as usual and keep the party going!

The complete itinerary for our incredible winter weekend getaway, featuring Salsa and Bachata workshops with 'Jaime Jesus & Mary from Sydney' & four other New Zealand teachers, this is coming very soon this Winter! Come join us for hot pools and a weekend packed with social dancing & learning. Make sure to grab a full pass these are now limited in numbers, once sold out you wont be able to join in all workshops. Salsa 101 GRADING THIS Thursday
THIS Thursday 17th July at 6:15 is the next grading!
Results for this grading will be posted on our weekly Blog
If you have done a grading before but havent attained a high level platinum grade, you can resits this exam and join in this week, just turn up no need to register.
Gradings for Progression
Gradings are required to progress to the next levels, its also designed to help improve you fundamental level, so If you didn't get a platinum grade on the first attempt this is actually normal for most 90% of people who are new to dance
