Hola Salsa Latina family, we have some exciting (and a little bittersweet) news to share...
Our head teachers, Reuben and Milena, will be relocating to Europe at the end of July for a new adventure! ✈️ They'll be away for a period of time — at least 6 to 8 months, with the exact timing still to be confirmed.
But don’t worry — Salsa Latina isn’t going anywhere! 💃🕺
Over the past year, we’ve been actively training up new teachers and developing our existing teaching team to ensure Salsa Latina continues to thrive. With continued help from Europe our talented instructors will be stepping in to lead classes, and performance teams — keeping our amazing community strong and vibrant. The social nights are also set to continue, albeit reducing slightly over the winter months.
There may be some small schedule changes, but rest assured we’ll keep you updated over the next few weeks as we finalise the details.
In the meantime, make the most of your time with Reuben and Milena before they head off — their last classes will be in late July!

🆕 4 Bachata Courses all start this week - Free beginners
All 4 levels of bachata start this week, a free class on Monday 6:15pm for novice dancers to this style and 3 more higher levels for those that have progressed is set to start this Monday & Wednesday ...details >
🆕 Salsa Thursdays Canceled - New Start Date 31st July
We have had to change the new beginners & imp-int Salsa course which was set to start on the 24 July, now will start one week later on the 31st due to an Event on that date. So no classes are on Thursday 24th July..... see our timetable for updates >
✅ Shines Monday are Back!
Salsa This Monday at 8:30 pm with Miléna, All Monday shine classes will conclude in August, so take advantage of these final few classes ..... Please refer to the timetable for details.
💃 Salsa Night Fever - Updates!
Owing to the winter conditions, Salsa Night Fever will not take place this Friday. The organisers apologise for the late cancellation. The event will continue on a monthly basis until the warmer spring weather arrives. However, the next Salsa Night Fever will be a grand farewell event for Reuben & Miléna on Friday, July 25th, with a new start time of 8pm, so make sure not to miss it! ..... details >

Less than 42 full passes available and all early bird passes sold out
The complete itinerary for our incredible winter weekend getaway, featuring Salsa and Bachata workshops with 'Jaime Jesus & Mary from Sydney' & four other New Zealand teachers, this is coming very soon this Winter! Come join us for hot pools and a weekend packed with social dancing & learning. Make sure to grab a full pass these are now limited in numbers, once sold out you wont be able to join in all workshops. Bachata Beginner 101 Grading: Monday 30th June 2025
Congratulations to all Beginner Bachata students who took on the challenge of the Beginners 101 Grading. This was a great size grading class and had a 100% pass rate. 9 of the dance students have also achieved a high level "Platinum Grade" - an excellent achievement!

Dance Growth
To continue improving, we recommend a combination of practice, online classes, private lessons, group classes, and social dancing. This is especially true for Beginner lessons, which are designed to be repeated. Gradings for Progression
Gradings are required to progress to the next levels, its also designed to help improve you fundamental level, so If you didn't get a platinum grade on the first attempt this is actually normal for most 90% of people who are new to dance
