Hola Salsa Latina family, this is the final week for two of our teachers before they leave for Europe, so take advantage of the coming days. There will be NO classes this Thursday, which means there are only 3 days left to take classes with Reuben & Milena, so make the most of them. We have also recently published the new teachers' schedule, which includes a wide variety of new instructors. Additionally, the New Beginners Salsa 101 course originally scheduled to start this Thursday has been postponed to next week and yes its free ....Check out the news below.

📢 New Teachers Schedule
Beginning in August 2025, we will implement a new teaching schedule as Reuben and Miléna will be traveling to Europe for 6-8 months. In preparation, we have been training some new assistant teachers, all have been in performance teams over the years as pictured above, ... see the new schedule and teachers here >
❌ Cancelations & Postponements
Due to large unforeseen events at the venue some classes have new start dates but all continue as normal from mid August. Affect dates are as follows:
Salsa Thursday 24th July Classes Start the Following week on the 31st August with a Free salsa class, this is now a Fast track course, learn more in a shorter course.
Bachata Wednesday 06 August classes all start the following week on the 13th August for a free class, this is also a Fast Track course, learn more in 7 weeks.
Salsa Thursday 07 August classes canceled on this day and recontinue the following week as normal.
✈️ Reuben & Milena are Relocating
As mentioned last week, incase you missed it! We have some exciting (and a little bittersweet) news to share...Our head teachers, Reuben and Milena, will be relocating to Europe at the end of July for a new adventure! ✈️ They'll be away for a period of time — at least 6 to 8 months, with the exact timing still to be confirmed.
But don’t worry — Salsa Latina isn’t going anywhere! 💃🕺
We’ve been actively training up new teachers and developing & expanding our existing teaching team to ensure Salsa Latina continues to thrive. With continued help from Europe our talented instructors will be stepping in to lead classes, and performance teams — keeping our amazing community strong and vibrant. In the meantime, make the most of your time with Reuben and Milena before they head off — their last classes will be on the Wednesday 23rd July!
💃 Salsa Night Fever - THIS Friday!
Salsa Night Fever this Friday will be a grand farewell event for Reuben & Miléna on Friday, July 25th, with a new start time of 8pm, so make sure not to miss it!
This event will continued to be supported by Reuben working with Dj Javier to get you the latest tunes from Europe! So expect a good turn out as usual and keep the party going! ... See the details here >

The complete itinerary for our incredible winter weekend getaway, featuring Salsa and Bachata workshops with 'Jaime Jesus & Mary from Sydney' & four other New Zealand teachers, this is coming very soon this Winter! Come join us for hot pools and a weekend packed with social dancing & learning. GRADING RESULTS:
Salsa Beginner 101 Grading: Thursday 17th July 2025
Congratulations to all Beginner students who took on the challenge of the Beginners 101 Grading. This class had a 100% pass rate. 10 of the dance students have also achieved a high level "Platinum Grade" - an excellent achievement!

Dance Growth
To continue improving, we recommend a combination of practice, online classes, private lessons, group classes, and social dancing. This is especially true for Beginner lessons, which are designed to be repeated. Gradings for Progression
Gradings are required to progress to the next levels, its also designed to help improve you fundamental level, so If you didn't get a platinum grade on the first attempt this is actually normal for most 90% of people who are new to dance
