Hola Salsa Latina family, ✨ We’re excited to share the fantastic results from the South Island Latin Dance Championship over the weekend — our teams delivered amazing performances, and we couldn’t be prouder of their hard work and achievements! A huge congratulations to everyone who represented Salsa Latina and brought home such great results.
On another exciting note, we’re pleased to announce that our Tuesday classes are back on this week! We can’t wait to see you all in class this Tuesday — ready to dance, learn, and keep the momentum going! The Timetable has also been updated >

Congratulations to all the dance schools that competed in the South Island Latin Championship over the weekend! We’re thrilled with Salsa Latina’s results, achieving the highest number of adult placings overall. A special shoutout to our Aspire Ladies Team — it’s been a few years since we’ve taken the win in this category, making the achievement extra special. 🚀 Big news: Reuben & Milena have just launched Salsa Latina Cyprus! Regular classes begin this week. Salsa Latina is expanding - Check out their social media (instagram) for videos, and check out the brand-new Cyprus website which has been hugely upgraded 👉 www.salsalatina.cy While Reuben & Miléna are away for 6-8 months they are posting moves with counts on the Salsa Latina Academy instagram Cyprus/NZ account so you can try them out.
🇨🇾 All class content is created by Reuben & Milena in Europe, with every move and step carefully designed for both our New Zealand and Cyprus schools. This ensures our Kiwi teaching team remains fully up to date. We’ll also be introducing new moves to our teachers, who will pass them on to all our students in both countries! Plus

We have just added 45 new Salsa and Bachata videos to our SLTV Online courses, with the Salsa videos being included in the current packages just 2 days ago. Reuben & Miléna have been actively working in Cyprus to record new shines and partner work for our teams, classes, and online videos for Salsa Latina TV "STLV". Salsa Beginner 101 Grading: Thursday 11th September 2025
Congratulations to all Beginner students who took on the challenge of the Beginners 101 Grading. This class had a 100% pass rate. 3 of the dance students have also achieved a high level "Platinum Grade" - an excellent achievement!

To continue improving, we recommend a combination of practice, online classes, private lessons, group classes, and social dancing. This is especially true for Beginner lessons, which are designed to be repeated. Gradings for Progression
Gradings are required to progress to the next levels, its also designed to help improve you fundamental level, so If you didn't get a platinum grade on the first attempt this is actually normal for most 90% of people who are new to dance
