Hola Salsa Latina family, ✨ The Hanmer Salsa Fest 2024 photos have been released,

This week is the last Bachata Mondays until next year - so make the most of the night. Next Thursday we open a new Bachata Level 2 at 8:30pm.

We’re also launching four brand-new Salsa courses and modules, open to new students at all levels—from Level 1 to Level 3! 💃🕺 Bring a friend (or two) along and join the fun together—especially if they need a little confidence boost 😉. Check out all the latest updates below!

❌ Bachata Mondays Ends & Thursdays Begin Soon!

Due to venue bookings until the end of the year, Monday Bachata classes will be on hold. Our aim is to restart them in 2026. The last Monday classes will be on the 13th October 2025. For now, Wednesdays will be the only option for Level 1 Beginners to start Bachata. Level 2 Improver/Intermediate will be moving to Thursdays at 8:30pm from the 23rd October. if you are doing Salsa now you can also join in Bachata right after! ....You can see the details on our timetable here >

💃 New Level Names

We’re simplifying our level names for Salsa & Bachata Classes to match the system used in Europe. The structure of the levels remains the same, only the names are changing:

Beginner becomes Level 1
Improver/Intermediate becomes Level 2
Intermediate/Advanced becomes Level 3
Advanced Plus is Level 4

🚀 Exciting Update! Reuben & Milena have officially launched Salsa Latina Cyprus and regular classes are now underway! 💃🕺 Salsa Latina is growing, and we’d love your support—follow us on instagram for dance videos and updates, and don’t forget to explore our brand-new Cyprus website 👉 www.salsalatina.cy

Even while Reuben & Milena are away for 6–8 months, they’ll be sharing Salsa moves with counts on the Salsa Latina Academy instagram (Cyprus/NZ). Perfect for practicing and keeping your skills sharp wherever you are!

🇨🇾 All Salsa Latina class content for classes & performance teams in both New Zealand and Cyprus is created by Reuben & Milena. Every move and step is carefully designed for our schools in both countries, ensuring our Kiwi teaching team stays fully up to date. We’ll also be introducing fresh moves to our teachers, who will then pass them on to students in New Zealand and Cyprus alike!... as per video below

We have just added 45 new Salsa and Bachata videos to our SLTV Online courses, with the Salsa videos being included in the current packages recently. Reuben & Miléna have been actively working in Cyprus to record new shines and partner work for our teams, classes, and online videos for Salsa Latina TV "STLV". Salsa Beginner 101 Grading: Tuesday 7th October 2025

Congratulations to all Beginner students who took on the challenge of the Beginners 101 Grading. This class had a 100% pass rate. 4 of the dance students have also achieved a high level "Platinum Grade" - an excellent achievement!

To continue improving, we recommend a combination of practice, online classes, private lessons, group classes, and social dancing. This is especially true for Beginner lessons, which are designed to be repeated. Gradings for Progression

Gradings are required to progress to the next levels, its also designed to help improve you fundamental level, so If you didn't get a platinum grade on the first attempt this is actually normal for most 90% of people who are new to dance
